Lil Nas X Celebrates ‘J Christ’ Debuting at No. 69 on the Hot 100: ‘We Reached the Funny Number’

After a promotional frenzy filled with plenty of controversy, Lil Nas X is officially back like “J Christ” on the Hot 100. Jokes about the number aside, the singer made sure to properly thank his fans over on his Instagram Stories, while also giving them something to look forward to in the weeks to come. Using religious iconography in the promotion of both the song and video, Lil Nas X came under fire from some Christians online claiming that he was “mocking” their religion.
