Lieutenant Dan doesn't look like this anymore! Forrest Gump star Gary Sinise unrecognisable in rare Australian TV interview


Gary Sinise stunned Australian viewers on Friday morning with his shock new look, thirty years after he played Lieutenant Dan in the Hollywood movie Forrest Gump.

Gary told hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies about how he established a charity which supports disabled veterans after playing Dan, a character who loses his legs in the Vietnam War. Forrest Gump was nominated for 13 Oscars - winning six for Best Picture, Best Actor (Hanks), Best Director (Robert Zemeckis), Best Adapted Screenplay (Eric Roth), Best Film Editing and Best Visual Effects. Gary told hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies about how he established a charity which supports disabled veterans after playing Dan, a character who loses his legs in the Vietnam War
