Argentinian police have refused to comment on reports that Liam Payne had reportedly been under the influence of drugs before his tragic death as images of his hotel room circulate

The scene after the tragic incident revealed a Dove soap packet, an empty glass, aluminium foil scraps, a half-burnt candle, a charred drinks can top, and traces of white powder on a desk - substances now poised for drug analysis. Speculation has swirled about substance use being a factor in the incident, but this morning Alberto Crescenti, Buenos Aires' emergency services chief reported Liam fell into the hotels inner courtyard and chose not to comment on rumours suggesting alcohol or drugs played a part.
