Liam Payne died after falling from his hotel room balcony in Argentina earlier this week, and now a new statement from police has given more details about the former One Direction singer's death
In an official statement given to The Associated Press, it was stated that Liam "jumped from the balcony of his room," seemingly ruling out any theories of an accidental fall or foul play. Authorities rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call just after 5pm local time on Wednesday, having been alerted to an "aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol," reports the Mirror. Alberto Crescenti, chief of Buenos Aires' emergency medical services, confirmed that Liam died instantly due to severe injuries, including a skull fracture.
