Liam Payne fans call for 'Liam's law' as UK government responds to death


A petition set up in the wake of Liam Payne's death has hit a new milestone as fans of the One Direction singer call for 'Liam's Law' to be brought in to support young musicians

In response to the petition, The Government's Department for Culture, Media and Sport, led by Lisa Nandy, said: "We are very open to discussions, if and when raised, on how artists’ mental health can be better safeguarded. They continued, highlighting the need for change: "In recent news of Liam Payne's tragic death as many others, the entertainment industry needs to be held accountable and be responsible to the welfare of their artists.
