LGBTQI+ celebrities have lashed out at the Mardis Gras board after NSW police were barred from marching at the Sydney event for the first time in 20 years.
'History and culture is complex and no one is denying the systemic issues that have been at play both in the past and at present regarding the LGBTQl+ community, but I truly believe there are more effective and inclusive ways to build bridges and I hope a positive and respectful resolution can be made.'
