Letitia Wright Says Black Panther Has ‘a Lot Coming Up’ in the Marvel Cinematic Universe: ‘Let’s Just Say … I Would Like to Continue With Shuri’


Letitia Wright says "a lot is coming up" for Shuri/Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Back in January 2023, the actor told Variety that she thought “Black Panther 3” was “already in the works.” We need a little bit of a break, we need to regroup and [director] Ryan [Coogler] needs to get back into the lab, so it’s going to take a little while, but we’re really excited for you guys to see that.” Marvel has not yet announced “Black Panther 3.” Movies on its upcoming theatrical slate include include “Deadpool and Wolverine,” “Thunderbolts,” “Captain America: Brave New World” and “The Fantastic Four.” Superheroes such as Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man join Wright’s Black Panther in having an undetermined future in the MCU at this time.
