Lester Hsi’s Taiwanese Horror ‘Phantom’ Pre-Sold To Southeast Asia — Cannes Market

At Cannes, theatrical rights for Lester Hsi's 'Phantom' has pre-sold to seven Southeast Asian markets via Abnormal Studios. These countries include Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia.

As eerie phenomena begin to occur, including phantom footsteps, shifting objects, and unseen forces, Youmo uncovers forbidden rituals and buried wartime secrets connected to a sealed cave. The film also carries influences from Eastern Taoist mysticism and aims to be a “bold new take on the Invisible Man mythos.” “We’re thrilled to have Abnormal Studios believe in our bold new horror concept,” said Mokster Films’ Nelson Mok.
