Llamas also will continue to anchor Top Story, NBC News Now’s signature nighttime show that runs from 7-8 p.m. In announcing his departure from NBC Nightly News, Holt wrote to staffers in February, “It has truly been the honor of a lifetime to work with each of you every day, keeping journalism as our true north and our viewers at the center of everything we do.” The show also has taken a different approach to the traditional, headline-driven broadcast, placing more of an emphasis on correspondent storytelling.
