Leslie Moonves Fined $11K by L.A. City Ethics Commission for His Role in LAPD Scandal


Former CBS chief Leslie Moonves will pay a $11,250 fine for his part in an LAPD scandal related to his 2018 downfall from sexual abuse allegations.

Leslie Moonves, the ousted former leader of CBS Corp. whose storied career came to an abrupt end in 2018 amid the disclosure of past sexual assault allegations, has been ordered to pay a $11,250 fine by the Los Angeles City Ethics Commission for his role in a 2017 LAPD scandal connected to his downfall at CBS. Former TV executive Phyllis Golden-Gottlieb alleged that Moonves sexually assaulting her in 1986 when the two worked together at Lorimar Television. Palka, who once ran the department’s busy Hollywood station, retired from the LAPD in early 2021 at the rank of commander.
