Les Arcs Coproduction Village: Sophie Linnenbaum, Anastasiia Solonevych & Claire Fowler Projects Among Female-Focused Selection
German director Sophie Linnenbaum, whose 2022 fantasy drama The Ordinaries enjoyed a buzzy awards and festival run, will participate with second fiction feature The Nose. The drama, which recently attended the Sundance Lab, revolves around a woman living far away from home and ostracized from her strikingly successful twin brother who begins to piece together memories of the teen theater experience that came between them. The co-pro meeting – which previously supported films such as Juris Kursietis’s Oleg, Shahrbanoo Sadat’s The Orphanage and Laszlo Nemes’s Son of Saul – saw an uptick in application this year to 353, from 269 for the 2023 edition.
