Leonardo DiCaprio treats his niece Normandie, 16, to a lavish shopping spree in Beverly Hills - 10 years after she was 'abducted' by parents amid family turmoil

Leonardo DiCaprio treated his niece Normandie, 16, to a lavish shopping spree in Beverly Hills over the weekend.

The teenager, who was notoriously 'abducted' at the age of six by her own father, appeared happy as she walked down the sidewalk, alongside her family, with two large shopping bags on her shoulder. Adam was apprehended in Texas, where he had decamped with his daughter - illegally, inasmuch as Normanie was a dependent of the court in California because of her parents' criminal records and was not supposed to be taken out of state. People Magazine reported that two years earlier, the struggling actor landed in trouble with the law after allegedly assaulting a photographer who was pursuing his superstar sibling.
