Lenny Kravitz had a mid-show break so he could show one of his longtime friends, Denzel Washington, some love.

Over the weekend, the "American Woman" rocker took to Instagram to share the moment he got a call from his friend, Denzel Washington, while performing one his shows as part of his Blue Electric Light Tour. Kravitz walked the phone to his camera man to give fans a closer look at the Oscar-winning actor, who was smiling and soaking up the moment. In the video, the rock star goes off the stage and onto the barricades in front of the crowd to reach down and grab a young fan.
