Legendary soap icon killed after being hit by delivery van in ‘sudden & tragic’ death
Crossroads actress Charmian Abrahams has died at the age of 96 after tragically being hit by a delivery van, her family said she was "still full of life and energy"
"In her working life she had enjoyed a long career as an actor on stage and screen, performing alongside many great theatrical figures. Before shooting to fame on Crossroads, Charmian performed on stage in a several productions which saw her tour around Northern Europe, Australia and New Zealand. West Midlands Police have said its Serious Collision Investigation Unit is looking into the crash which took place on Lordswood Road, Harborne at around 11.40am on Monday, 15 January.
