Legendary soap actor dead but cause of death not disclosed
Michael Cole, the actor known for his role in The Mod Squad has died at the age of 84, the star's publicist confirmed his passing and praised him for 'living a full life'
Rebeka Knott wrote about it in Groovy History, "Being true to the spirit of the counterculture generation, they did not use weapons in the course of their jobs," further noting that the show's characters were reflective of the peaceful ethos of the hippie movement. After The Mod Squad ended, Michael kept active in the entertainment industry, making guest appearances on several well-known TV series, including Wonder Woman, The Love Boat, and Murder, She Wrote, as highlighted in a report by E xpress US. Michael was also known for his role as Harlan Barrett on the American soap General Hospital, with over 60 episodes to his credit until the character's departure in 1991, has been warmly remembered following his final acting appearances in the 2010 shorts Father's Day and Officer Lenot in: Showtime.
