Legendary Australian journalist who worked in the US dies aged 87
Australian journalist Kevin Sanders, best known as 'the first voice on CNN', has died at the age of 87.
He is survived by wife June Atkin Sanders, stepson Matthew Corwin, stepdaughter Susannah and five step grandchildren. Sanders also became the only journalist to cover the entire proceedings of the World Court hearings on the legality of nuclear weapons. He later produced documentaries on nuclear weapons including People Against the Bomb – Showdown at the UN and Judgement in The Hague.
