LCD Soundsystem Release New Single ‘X-Ray Eyes’ — But Only on the Radio
LCD Soundsystem premiered their new single 'X-Ray Eyes' on the NTS Radio show 'Soup to Nuts w/ Anu.' For now, that's the only way to listen to it.
The track features one verse, on which frontman James Murphy sings: “Every busboy, cigarette girl/Dental hygienist or backpacking teen/Newspaper seller, and the nightclub MC/You’re everything, you’re all I can see/The bones in your body, the blood in your veins/Your hasty decisions and behavioral chains.” LCD Soundsystem last released a proper single in 2022, with “New Body Rhumba” appearing on the soundtrack for the film White Noise. In 2022, Murphy said on social media that the group would continue to release one-off singles as a means of avoiding “album panic” and likely won’t set major plans for any widespread touring.
