Laurie Metcalf Says ‘There’s a Lot to Wrap Up’ in ‘The Conners’ Final Season: ‘Writers Are Working Hard’

Laurie Metcalf opened up about the shortened final season of The Conners, and how the writers will wrap up the characters' stories in a special way.

“There’s a lot to wrap up and I think the writers are really working hard to get everybody’s storylines sort of … not completed,” Laurie, 69, told People in an interview published on March 26. Meanwhile, Jackie stumbles upon an opportunity to sue the pharmaceutical company responsible for Roseanne’s addiction, which sparks a family debate,” according to the show’s official logline. It was first announced in May 2024 that The Conners was renewed for a shortened final season with Laurie and costars John Goodman, Sara Gilbert and Lecy Goranson.
