Laurence Fishburne Says He Pitched Himself To Return To ‘The Matrix: Resurrections’ But Team “Didn’t Respond Well”


Laurence Fishburne is not sure if he will ever reprise his role of Morpheus in The Matrix universe.

Sunny Hostin jumped in and told Fishburne, “You need to come back,” with Haines adding, “Sound like a decision as to whether [or not] they want it to be a great Matrix[film].” The Matrix: Resurrections is set 20 years after the events of Revolutions, and finds Neo (Reeves) living a seemingly ordinary life as Thomas A. Anderson in San Francisco, where his therapist prescribes him blue pills.
