Lauren Laverne gives update after cancer news saying it's been a 'tough week'


The BBC 6 Music presenter and Desert Island Discs host shared a post to thank fans for their support and well-wishes after revealing she had been diagnosed with cancer

The host of Desert Island Discs confirmed that she is expected to make a "full recovery", revealing that her cancer was "caught early and unexpectedly during a screening test". In an update on Instagram, Laverne told her followers about her challenging week but also focused on some positive news, sharing a snap of her son Fergus who was "off to film school after smashing his GCSEs". Among the celebs sending her well wishes were TV personalities Myleene Klass, Gabby Logan, Clara Amfo and Dermot O'Leary.
