Lauren Graham Jokes She's 'Paid in Love' When Asked How Much Money She Makes in Gilmore Girls Residuals

Lauren Graham says she gets no residuals from 'Gilmore Girls' streaming on Netflix, but she's "paid in love" from fans.

On the Wednesday, March 19, episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Z-Suite star said that she’s still happy to chat about the beloved series, in which she played single mom Lorelai Gilmore, all these years later. Kimmel noted that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the show, which premiered in October 2000, and speculated that Gilmore Girls might be even more popular now than it was when it was on the air. During the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, Sean Gunn, who played Kirk on the hit series, told The Hollywood Reporter that Gilmore Girls"gets streamed over and over and over again [on Netflix], and I see almost none of the revenue that comes into that."
