Laura Dern and her stylish daughter Jaya Harper grab lunch together in New York City
The Big Little Lies actress, 57, was spotted grabbing lunch with Jaya, 19, at Cafe Cluny in New York City on Sunday.
The actress kept it casual in a blue knit shirt worn over a long black-sleeve and paired with high waist jeans and funky shoes. Her first real role was a small part in the 1980 film Foxes, the directorial debut of Adrian Lyne who went onto specialize in erotic thrillers like Unfaithful. Shot when she was just 11, Foxes kick-started her on an acting career that led her to get emancipated from her parents at 16, thereby exempting her from the child labor laws that had previously limited her daily working hours.
