Late ‘Baywatch’ Star Mike Newman Honored With Fundraiser Thrown by Documentary Director Matthew Felker

One month after Mike Newman's death from Parkinson's disease, he was honored with a fundraiser organized by Matthew Felker, who directed a Baywatch documentary.

The November 14 event happened following Michael’s October death from Parkinson’s disease at 67 years old. “I screened a director’s cut of Baywatch: The American Dream featuring Mike and his story with the North Shore Lifeguards,” Matthew exclusively tells In Touch. Matthew adds that being able to tell Mike’s story was “the most rewarding thing” he was able to do with the new series.
