Larry the Cat 'threatened' by Keir Starmer's pet as they move in to Downing Street


Larry the Cat, who has been in residence for longer than any UK leader, may be threatened by Sir Keir Starmer's family cat JoJo when he moves into 10 Downing Street

The loveable Larry, aged 17 and a seasoned political companion, has outlasted numerous UK leaders, making the corridors of power his home. During a 2016 Prime Minister's Questions, David Cameron clarified that Larry is a civil servant and not the personal property of any one individual, reports the Mirror. Labour got into government for the first time in 14 years with Sir Keir Starmer as leader (Image: PA)He also has official duties, with the Downing Street website stating he "spends his days greeting guests to the house, inspecting security defences and testing antique furniture for napping quality".
