LAPD Shares Body Cam Footage of Weezer Bassist’s Wife’s Police Shootout
LAPD released body camera footage showing Jillian Lauren's police standoff and arrest after she pointed a gun at officers outside her home
Lauren, 51, was shot and injured by police in April 2025, after pointing a handgun at officers from the front yard of her home in LA’s Eagle Rock neighborhood, the LAPD said in a statement. The latest footage of the incident, released via YouTube on Friday, April 25, consists of body camera surveillance video in addition to audio from the 911 dispatch call. Lauren’s arrest came several days before Shriner’s performance at Coachella alongside Weezer bandmates Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson and Brian Bell.
