In an Instagram announcement that plays more like a horror film teaser, Lady Gaga has revealed that her new studio album – her seventh – will be titled Mayhem and be released March 7. Teased on billboards that recently began popping up in New York City and Las Vegas, Mayhem took a step closer to Gaga reality with the cryptic trailer on the singer-songwriter’s IG page and YouTube channel. In a statement, Gaga explained, “The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved.” She said her creative process resembles “a shattered mirror: even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way.”
