Lady Gaga Nears EGOT Status After Sports Emmy Win


Lady Gaga won a Sports Emmy for her performance of "Hold My Hand" before the Super Bowl, getting her only one award away from EGOT status.

Last night, the singer was awarded a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Music Direction for singing “Hold My Hand” ahead of the Super Bowl in New Orleans earlier this year. Lady Gaga won the Emmy alongside her fellow producers Seth Dudowsky, Bill Richards, Joel Santos, Jesse Weiss, and Brad Zager, and music editor Joe Nargi. Other EGOT winners include Viola Davis, Alan Menken, Whoopi Goldberg, Audrey Hepburn, Rita Moreno, and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
