Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix dance in eerie new poster for Joker: Folie à Deux - as trailer release date is revealed
Entitled Joker: Folie à Deux, the movie is a sequel to the 2019 picture Joker, which became a smash hit and netted Joaquin an Oscar for best actor. Rumors abound that it will be a musical.
The official Joker movie account on X, formerly known as Twitter, broke the news of the trailer release date and unveiled the film's slogan: 'The world is a stage.' Gaga previously followed in Judy Garland's footsteps when she played the female lead in the 2018 film A Star Is Born, co-starring and directed by Bradley Cooper. At the end of the picture, the Joker is arrested and thrown in Arkham Asylum after he goes on late-night television, confesses to multiple murders and then shoots the host played by Robert De Niro dead on the air.
