Label Bosses Ángel del Villar & Javier ‘El Tamarindo’ González Launch Distribution Company
DSTRO7 will exclusively distribute releases from González’s Tamarindo Rekordsz and del Villar’s DEL Records, which boasts Eslaban Armado on its roster.
Music executives Ángel del Villar and Javier “El Tamarindo” González have joined forces to launch a new distribution company, DSTRO7. Founded by del Villar in 2008, the label is home to música mexicana supergroup Eslabon Armado, whose global hit, “Ella Baila Sola” with Peso Pluma, became one of the biggest songs of 2023. In December 2022, González and regional Mexican star Carin León announced they had mutually agreed to part ways after a five-year relationship, during which León earned his first Latin Grammy win as well as 11 entries on the Hot Latin Songs chart and 10 top 10 songs on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart.
