The Pride of Britain Awards saw a host of A-listers left in tears as they honoured the UK's unsung heroes, with Kym Marsh overcome with emotion as she thanked a midwife
The annual event, which celebrated its 25th anniversary earlier this week, recognised the UK's fundraisers, awe-inspiring children, community heroes, young achievers and brave individuals with well-deserved awards. She initiated the Born Whilst Sleeping programme at Leicester Royal Infirmary and designated a room for women to grieve away from other mums and their newborns in the main maternity ward. The ceremony took place in the opulent surroundings of London's Grosvenor Hotel where dinner and awards were handed out by hosts Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo, a dynamic duo for this awe-inspiring event for five years running.
