Kygo’s Palm Tree Crew Buys Stake in Celebrity Live Events Producer Medium Rare as Investors Flock to Experiential Businesses (EXCLUSIVE)
Palm Tree Crew, the venture fund led by DJ Kygo and Myles Shear, has invested in Medium Rare, the live events firm behind Travis Kelce's Kelce Jam.
Other Medium Rare events have included Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Tailgate, Rob Gronkowski’s Gronk Beach and Dave Portnoy’s One Bite Pizza Festival. Medium Rare and Palm Tree Crew reflect a wave of next-generation production companies that blend unusual live experiences, celebrities with built-in followings and a festival or event setting. Earlier this week, Texas-based comedy troupe Dude Perfect received a $100 million investment from Highmount Capital to build a family-friendly destination site in Frisco, Texas.
