Kumail Nanjiani to Helm First Stand-Up Special in a Decade
Kumail Nanjiani will release a comedy special on Hulu, his first stand-up special in over a decade.
Since Nanjiani’s first comedy special, Beta Male, in 2013, he’s starred in projects such as HBO’s Silicon Valley and Hulu’s Welcome to Chippendales, with other appearances on shows like Only Murders in th e Building. Roy Wood Jr.: Lonely Flowers followed in January, explored how guns, customer service encounters, and self-checkout lanes drive a wedge in human connection. On the Horizon, Hulu plans to release comedy specials helmed by Ralph Barbosa, Bill Burr, Chris Distefano, Zarna Garg, Jessica Kirson, Matteo Lane, Sebastian Maniscalco, Atsuko Okatsuka, Frankie Quiñones and Andrew Santino.
