Sex and the City ‘s Charlotte may be content with her fairytale ending marriage to Evan Handler ‘s Harry, but actress Kristin Davis had some hopes regarding one of her character’s exes that were swiftly dashed in the HBO sequel And Just Like That… podcast, the star revealed a scrapped storyline for the offshoot series that would mark the reappearance of ex-husband Trey ( Kyle MacLachlan); she shared the news perhaps to the chagrin of showrunner Michael Patrick King, who she said doesn’t love when his actors discuss abandoned plot points. However, Davis said she was sympathetic to MacLachlan’s hesitance to reprise the character, concluding, “I did give him a hard time the other day, and then he explained his point of view and I did understand it.
