Davis, who portrayed Charlotte York on the hit HBO series Sex and the City before reprising the role for the 2021 reboot, told podcast guest Sarah Wynter — who appeared in the SATC pilot — that the man’s response to her generous gesture shocked her. She detailed how the man was an “out-of-work actor” she’d been seeing before starting on SATC, who is now “very successful.” Davis had lent him “all of $5,000,” after spotting notices around his home that threatened to switch off his electricity. (The third season of AJLT is expected to premiere later this year after it was renewed in August 2023, and Charlotte remains married to Harry Goldenblatt, played by Evan Handler.)
