Kristin Davis revealed why a scrapped plotline for ‘And Just Like That’ involving Kyle MacLachlan ultimately fell through

Evan Agostini/Getty ImagesOn the Thursday, March 6, episode of her “Are You a Charlotte?” podcast, Davis, 60, revealed that in one of the scrapped plotlines for Sex and the City reboot series And Just Like That involved her character Charlotte York-Goldenblatt bumping into her first husband Trey MacDougal, played by Kyle MacLachlan. “[Executive producer] Michael Patrick [King] has this thing where he doesn’t like us to talk about ideas for stories that didn’t happen,” Davis explained. Kristin Davis’ role as Charlotte York on Sex and the City cemented her as a Hollywood star — but it wasn’t always easy for her to connect with the character.
