Kristen Stewart ‘Will Likely Never Do a Marvel Movie’ Because ‘It Sounds Like a F—ing Nightmare’: It’s ‘Algorithmic’ and ‘You Can’t Feel Personal at All About It’
Kristen Stewart says she is likely never to make Marvel movie.
Podcast host Amanda Hirsch said that Stewart could’ve maybe played a version of Spider-Man’s love interest Mary Jane Watson at one point in her career, but the actor said “the system would have to change” in order for her to sign up for a Marvel movie. Stewart has largely spent the last decade making indie movies, many of which have earned her great acclaim. The good ones — like ‘Iron Man,’ ‘Black Panther,’ ‘The Matrix’ — I marvel at those movies, and I’m swept up in the entertainment of it, but that’s not why I became an actor.
