The one-day event unfolding on May 18 at the market’s Plage des Palmes venue aims to connect auteur directors and their elevated international projects with film financiers and private investors. This year’s director cohort includes Belgium’s Lukas Dhont, whose second film Close shared Cannes Grand Prix in 2022; Hungarian festival regular Kornél Mundruczó, who won the Un Certain Regard Prize in 2014 for White God, as well as Austrian Cannes regular Jessica Hausner. The other participating directors comprise Giacomo Abbruzzese (Italy), Eliza Hittman (US), Jasmila Žbanić(Bosnia and Herzegovina), Marcela Said (France, Chile)and Marie Kreutzer (Austria).
