Korean Film Council Taps Park Duk-ho As New Secretary-General
Park Duk-ho has been named Secretary General of the Korean Film Council.
The Korean Film Council has appointed Park Duk-ho as its Secretary General, a move confirmed in a vote passed during KOFIC ‘s 11th regular meeting. “I feel a strong responsibility amid such a desperate crisis when the funding for films, which is a key source for the development of K-movies, is drying up,” said Park. In recent years, Korean filmmakers have created features such as Exhuma, Oscar winner Parasite and Ballerina.
