Korea Box Office: ‘Alienoid 2’ Holds Top Spot for Second Weekend
Time travel fantasy action film 'Alienoid 2' held on to the top spot at the Korean box office as the market reverted to its typical January chill.
“Alienoid 2” earned $2.06 million between Friday and Sunday, according to data from Kobis, the tracking service operated by the Korean Film Council (Kofic). “Citizen of a Kind,” a drama by Park Young-jo which opens officially on Wednesday, took seventh place in the chart from preview screenings alone. “ Dumb Money,” the U.S. financial drama about meme stock GameStop and the antics of Roaring Kitty, was the highest placed film to open officially over the weekend.
