Kino Lorber Ups Ed Carroll to President; MHz Founder Frederick Thomas Shifts to Senior Adviser

Kino Lorber has promoted chief strategy officer Ed Carroll to president of the media company.

Over his past year with the company, Carroll helped oversee the acquisition of MHz Choice SVOD and the creation of a joint venture with streamer Topic, as well as the launch of streaming offering Kino Film Collection via Amazon’s Prime Video Channels. MHz Networks founder and president Frederick Thomas, who sold his company to Kino Lorber in September 2022, will transition into a senior adviser role alongside Carroll’s elevation. He’s a terrific leader who inspires our talented team to thrive, and I couldn’t hope for a better Kino brand champion to work with me as a partner in arms as we move our business forward.
