Head florist David Longman revealed a Royal secret: ever since Queen Elizabeth's wedding day mishap with her flowers, there's been a protocol for two identical bouquets, just in case. Recalling the careful preparations for Princess Diana, Longman said, "We made two bouquets," and continued with details about the rigorous process, "The first one had to be delivered at 8 o'clock to Buckingham Palace." For Princess Di's big day, the bouquet was a masterpiece of carefully selected flowers: gardenias, stephanotis, odontoglossum orchid, lily of the valley, Earl Mountbatten roses, freesia, veronica, ivy, myrtle, tradescantia were all part of the stunning arrangement.
