King Charles' Home Reopens After Closing Due to 'Health and Safety Reasons'


King Charles III’s Sandringham Estate was temporarily closed to the public following weather damage to the Winter Light Trail

The estate announced its decision to close part of its Winter Light Trail on Saturday, December 7, via Instagram Story, citing “health and safety” concerns caused by severe weather from Storm Darragh. “His Majesty The King will shortly return to public-facing duties after a period of treatment and recuperation following his recent cancer diagnosis,” a statement released by the palace on Friday, April 26, reads. Instagram/Courtesy of Sandringham EstateLater in the day, it was confirmed by the estate’s team that the trail had been reopened, writing via Instagram Story, “We have completed our safety checks following yesterday’s closure and are delighted to say we will be open as normal tonight and can’t wait to welcome you!”
