King Charles' doctors 'positive' about recovery as he returns to work 3 months after diagnosis

Buckingham Palace have shared an update to the public, after King Charles' doctors cleared the monarch to return to public facing duties amid 'positive' recovery progress

In addition to the statement, which also revealed Charles would be hosting the Emperor and Empress of Japan in June, a Palace spokesperson said: “His Majesty’s treatment programme will continue, but doctors are sufficiently pleased with the progress made so far that The King is now able to resume a number of public-facing duties. As part of his return to public duties, the King will be undertaking his first engagement next week, when he and wife Camilla are set to visit a cancer treatment centre next Tuesday, where they will meet medical specialists and patients. "As the first anniversary of The Coronation approaches, Their Majesties remain deeply grateful for the many kindnesses and good wishes they have received from around the world throughout the joys and challenges of the past year.”
