King Charles reportedly had a surprising reaction to Prince William's decision to pursue a "highly unusual" career path. William, according to the show's narrator, was on the hunt earlier in his career for a "civvy gig" that would combine his twin roles as a member of the Royal Family and a father. William, similar to his younger brother, Prince Harry, trained at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst and served in the RAF for more than seven years before hanging up his boots.
