King Charles to miss Commonwealth Day service as back-up plans put in place


King Charles is set to make a rare TV appearance to mark Commonwealth Day this month as he wishes to “remain to be seen” as he continues his treatment for cancer

But, keeping in line with the tried and tested royal belief that the monarch "has to be seen to be believed", the King has filmed a special video at Windsor Castle which will be shown at this year's event, which is themed "One Resilient Common Future". Sources close to the Royal Family explained to The Mirror that the King wanted to show his gratitude to everyone from the Commonwealth countries who've sent him loads of get well wishes after learning about his cancer diagnosis last month.
