King Charles Releases Video Of Thousands Of Cards Received Since Cancer Diagnosis: “Greatest Comfort”
The British king thanked everyone for their support after his cancer diagnosis was revealed.
In a video released Friday evening, the King was seen reading several of the letters of good wishes and was quoted: “Such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement.” The video also show the huge postbag full of correspondence from around the world – estimated at 7,000 pieces of post – and explained that a few letters were included each day in the official red box of paperwork sent to the King for his attention. Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, continues to recover from her abdominal surgery, which was announced the same week as her father-in-law’s cancer.
