King Charles may avoid 'difficult' situation by using Queen Camilla 'excuse'

King Charles may use Queen Camilla's birthday as a reason to avoid Prince Harry's Invictus Games event in Birmingham, according to a royal expert

A royal commentator has hinted that King Charles might diplomatically sidestep Prince Harry's Invictus Games in Birmingham by using Queen Camilla's birthday as a convenient "excuse" not to attend. According to The Mail on Sunday, the Duke of Sussex plans to extend an "olive branch" to the royals by inviting them to the 2027 games, with Prince Harry reportedly eager for a rapprochement with the King and other high-ranking family members. Despite the ongoing rift, the royal commentator mentioned it would be a "bad fit" if there were no representation from the King at the Invictus Games, but suggested that Queen Camilla's birthday might offer the perfect excuse.
