King Charles III remembered his mother Queen Elizabeth II in a speech two years after her death

Nearly five years before Queen Elizabeth II assumed the British throne, she and husband Prince Philip welcomed their first child, son King Charles III. Prior to her death, Buckingham Palace shared a statement noting that Elizabeth was “comfortable and at Balmoral” after cancelling multiple engagements due to the status of her health.
