King Charles III bestowed Scotland’s highest honor upon wife Queen Camilla and brother Prince Edward during Royal Week

The Order of the Thistle is a longstanding tradition in which 16 knights and ladies, including men and women who hold public office or have offered a contribution to national life, are recognized by the reigning monarch. Buckingham Palace announced in February 2024 that King Charles III received a cancer diagnosis one week after he was admitted to The London Clinic to undergo treatment for an enlarged prostate.
