King Charles has arrived at the Royal Variety Performance solo after Queen Camilla was forced to pull out of the event after being advised to 'prioritise sufficient rest'
Earlier today, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: “Following a recent chest infection, the Queen continues to experience some lingering post-viral symptoms, as a result of which doctors have advised that, after a busy week of engagements, Her Majesty should prioritise sufficient rest. King Charles meets Elton John as he arrives for the Royal Variety PerformanceTo mark the 40th anniversary, Cirque Du Soleil will present a world exclusive from their Las Vegas 'Ovo' show, while the English National Ballet will showcase their Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy routine from the Nutcracker. Money raised from the show will go to help people from the world of entertainment in need of care and assistance, with the Royal Variety Charity launching an initiative to help those with mental health issues this year.
